L x Reader oneshot: Ignored

You admit it, you absolutely ADORED him…

And you WERE very happy when he proclaimed you his girlfriend…

But L sure didn't act like that to you…

In fact, he practically IGNORED you!

You watched the task force as they began the meeting.

Staring at L's pale face, you began to wonder…

'AM I even his girlfriend?'

When the long dull meeting was finally over, you tried to go and talk with him.

But OF COURSE, he brushed you off to go talk with Light!

… and was he staring at Misa?!

"[Name]?" A voice brought you back to reality.

You turned to see your close friend Matsuda.

"Oh, hey." You said, a bit of anger in your voice.

"What's wrong?"

You started to walk away, saying to him…

"Meet me at The Place!"

You sat at one of the indoor tables at the café, the one in the corner, where you and Matsuda would always sit at.

Matsuda came and sat across from you, slowly eating your [Ice cream Flavor] sundae.

"So, why so angry?"

"L," you spat, is if the very letter was a bitter flavor on your tongue.

"But you said you were in love with him…"

You twirled the plastic spoon in your hand.

"I do, it's just…"

"Just what?"

You shoveled down your ice cream, the brain freeze was adding to your anger.

"Is it just me, or does L F***ING HATE ME?!"

Matsuda, startled by your outburst, discreetly gave a signal to say 'There are people here…'

"What makes you think that, [Name]?"

"WELL, L- I mean… RYUZAKI SAYS we're going out… but does he notice me at all? NO!"

You ate some ice cream before continuing.

"AND he stares at MISA all day! Can you believe it?!"

"NO!" he said.

You pounded a fist against the table.

"I'm just DONE with it all! D-O-N-E!" you yelled.

But then something hit you…

"I mean, why would he say that we're going out if he likes Misa?" you said softly, losing your anger.

Matsuda's phone rang.

"Hello?" he said into it, cringing away from the phone. You heard yelling.

"Yes! We'll be right there!"

He hung up. "Meeting." He said simply.

You sighed, following him out the door.

You sat in one of the chairs, noticing Misa was in the room.

'Why keep me here if he doesn't like me?' you thought. 'I mean, I'm not on the task force.'

The meeting was drawing towards the end. You rubbed your thumb on your i-pod that was hidden in your pocket.

"Hey, Ryuzaki!" A shrill feminine voice said.

'What does the blonde parakeet have to say?' you thought.

"Why is [NAME] here? She's not on  the task force~" She said with a smug smile.

'What a little b****…' You felt the rage boiling under your skin.

L sipped his sugar-induced coffee. You wanted to kick yourself for noticing how ADORABLE that was.

"She is my girlfriend…" He said in a monotone voice.

'Okay, I'm DONE!'

You stood up indignantly.

"I am? Well you sure don't ACT that way!" You snapped at him.

He just looked at you with black owl's eyes.

"In fact, it seems that you HATE ME!" You tried to hold back the word, but it was going to spill out.

"PRICK!"

Misa stood wide eyed as you pointed at her angrily.

"I'LL DEAL WITH YOU LATER… B****!"

You flung the doors open, and stormed out into the cool evening air.

You heart was racing from the anger.

You felt a scowl that could curdle milk etched onto your face.

"What a friggin' prick…" you muttered a curse under your breath.

You kept walking, finally sitting down at a park bench.

You let out a heavy breath.

The bench was hard.

"Well, I can't go back there, not after what I did…"

'Wait…'

You slapped yourself.

'GREAT. There go my chances. UGH, I'm such an IDIOT!'

You thought back to what had taken place what…15 minutes ago?

'Wow… I didn't need to be so harsh…' you shook your head, blocking out your thoughts of regret, sitting in pure silence.

Until you saw L on the horizon.

You looked away from him as he stood before you.

"What?" you said stiffly.

"Why did you run out, [Name]?"

You still looked down.

"Didn't I make that clear?"

He was silent for a moment, but then spoke to you.

"I told you several times… we are dating."

You looked up at him.

"And I told YOU that you never seem to notice me, OR love me!"

He sat by you, that odd way he always does.

"Besides, obvious you like that stupid DITZ, not me."

He looked a bit stunned.

"What?"

"THE DITZ. MISA!" You said angrily. You really weren't in the mood to have to spell it out for the World's Greatest Detective.

He cupped your head in his hands, staring you in the eyes.

Never had you seen what an intense passion those stunning coal-black eyes burned with.

Was it you blushing, or was it the eyes?

You began to take in a slight breath of awe, but were cut of by L diving his lips to yours.

You felt as if you were going to faint…

Why didn't the others seem to notice this white-hot flame of passion within him?

You felt his warmth control you…

The light of the glittering full moon bathed over you and L as your heartbeats joined.

'I hope this never ends…'
